Our last day in Barcelona, we decided to walk around the Barri Gotic. There were a bunch of alleys and so few people that it actually kind of creeped me out, but I can see how people would just love to wander around here. We also visited La Seu since we were in the area. The entry is free, so we just quickly popped in and out. Afterward, we ate some churros con chocolate and made our way to Museu Picasso. I must say that my family had a good laugh at his artwork, and we did not think he was a great artist at all. We don't understand why there are so many people visiting here.
Next, we visited Palau de la Musica Catalana, which is gorgeous as you can see from the picture believe. This is highly recommended, as I have never seen a room so beautiful in my entire life. Tickets should be purchased in advance since tours are only available at certain times in certain languages. We visited Mercat de Santa Caterina for lunch afterward, but we didn't find anything appealing there. This is a smaller version of the Boqueria and they don't quite have as much to purchase. Lastly, we walked over to Parc de la Ciutadella. There is a pond, where you can go rowing, which was really fun. It was just a great stroll with some pretty nice things to see. |
