Let's move on to why we are really here - cha soba and matcha desserts. We randomly walked into a restaurant on Omotesando for lunch and ordered their cha soba bentos. Their soba was delicious, but I wasn't a fan of their sushi. It was refreshing, especially after a long day in the sun, plus that hike up to the temple!
Next stop on the list is the actual city of Kyoto and a full day of sightseeing (temples, mostly). There is a bunch of history and temples to visit in this city, and I chose my attractions based on their uniqueness and popularity. In the end, some of the temples all become a blur (at least for me), so I'm very careful when deciding which ones and how many to visit. Itinerary:
The first stop is, of course, the ever so famous Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion). The picture says it all. You cannot miss this if you are in Kyoto. Next, we moved on to Eikan-dō Zenrin-ji. It was a very nice leisurely stroll through the area with a lot of greenery. The whole area was very peaceful, which is fitting. This place is big and there was a lot to see, but what really drew me here was the picturesque bridge over the Koi pond. Something about beautiful bridges just catches my eye.
